Q: Is the screen similar to a Kindle?

A: Yes - It is similar but with a much faster refresh rate and performance. There is no backlight or blue light. It is just like reading a newspaper.

Q: Does the Dasung Paperlike HD 13.3" work with Mac and PC?

A: Yes - The Paperlike is Plug and Play (PnP). That means it will automatically be recognized as a secondary monitor on both Mac and PC without the need to install any type of driver or software. However, the touchscreen feature does not work on a Mac without the additional installation of a 3rd party software (https://www.touch-base.com/download).

Q: Does the Dasung 253 25.3" Monitor work with Mac and PC?

A: Yes - The 253 is Plug and Play (PnP). It will automatically be detected by all operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi).

Q: What is the difference between the HD and HD-FT models?

A: Both models are identical as far as size, weight, resolution, performance, etc. The HD-FT includes a the front light function (off, warm, cool) and touchscreen functionality on a Windows machine natively on on a Mac through third party software (hyperlink "third party software" to https://www.touch-base.com/download)

Q: Is an AC adapter included for the HD or Front Light Touch Model?

A: No - It receives power through the included HDMI/USB to mini-HDMI Y-cord.

Q: How long is the cable for the FLT and HD monitor?

A: The total cable length is 60". It is a Y cable. The connector at the bottom of the Y which connects to the Dasung Display is a mini HDMI. The other end of the Y is a USB and a normal size HDMI, these connect to your computer. HDMI is for information, USB is for Power.

Q: Can I use it with my laptop?

A: You can use it with your laptop. You need to have a HDMI port on your laptop to plug into. There is a stand that comes with the display so you can set it right next to the laptop

Q: What are the advantages of it being front lit vs not? Does it have to do with ambient conditions? What type is the front lighting? 

A: Front lit means it has illumination so you can use it both in daylight and at night. It doesn't change the fundamental principles of how the monitor works or cause eye/headache issues.

Q: I don't want to clog the usb port on my computer. Can I connect it to an external USB source?

A: Yes you can! Simply use a standard USB wall plug adapter.
